The 9th World Water Forum (WWF) was held under the topic “Water Security for Peace and Development” and was hosted for the first time in Senegal. From March 21st to 26th, visitors and exhibitors in Dakar were able to exchange ideas and information on water security and other water-related topics.
In keeping with this topic, Manuel Krauss presented the current approaches, developments and results of the INTEWAR project. The project is working on a sustainable use of water in Cameroon in order to achieve a containment of water-associated diseases through innovative technologies. For this purpose, the installation of a decentralized PAULA drinking water treatment plant is still pending this year.
